Wood Flooring - Hardwood or Semi-solid/Engineered...?
Hardwood or solidwood is so named because it's made from one continuous piece of wood. It's the delux of woodflooring and it's beauty will last a lifetime. It is however, relatively expensive and not suitable for all floors. Talk to us and we'll help you work out if it's suitable for the room you have in mind.

Engineered wood flooring is made from layers of wood stacked and glued together under heat and pressure. There are usually three or five layers stacked with grains running perpendicular to each other. All wood expands and contracts with heat and humidity, but engineered wood is more dimensionally stable because the layers keep the movement in balance.

Laminate Flooring: Mimicking the look of real wood, tile, or stone, laminates are easy to clean and never require sanding or refinishing. Their sandwich-like multi-layer construction consists of a wear layer on top, followed by a decorative sheet that contains the printed image, then a rigid core, and finally a bottom balancing layer which prevents warping. Because it’s so versatile and durable, laminate is especially good in hallways, family rooms, and bedrooms.

Lino/Vinyl: It’s durable, versatile, and modern. Use it to add practical flair to any room, however, due to it's easy care surface, it is mainly used in kitchens. It's also easy to change and update as it wears and fashions change.
